Terms and Conditions

Business Hours:
Compucon are open on Monday to Friday – from 9am to 5pm.

Compucon use a number of couriers, starting at $3.50 per box, one way. Orders MUST be placed by 12 Noon for same day delivery. Freight and insurance costs are borne by the purchaser. (Compucon will insure goods over the value of $1000 for 0.2% of the invoice amount). We cannot take responsibility for damaged or lost items during transit. Compucon cannot take responsibility for business disruption due to courier drivers not arriving on time. Please note it is not recommended to send cash with COD couriers. Cheque is much safer and Compucon cannot take responsibility for "missing" monies.

All prices quoted are ex GST unless otherwise stated, and are subject to change without notice. All invoices will be processed including GST - with the GST component separated on the invoice.

Payment Terms:
All payment is COD unless an arrangement has been made with the Managing Director or Operations Manager. Accounts are only approved by the Managing Director, and are based on a minimum turnover per month. Cash discounts may be made, and volume / consistency always attracts better pricing. Dis-honoured Cheques attract a $30 charge.

OEM Ssytem Warranty & Return (Material) Authorisation (RA) Procedures:
If you believe you have a faulty System, please call Compucon direct (for advice) or the freecall service number and log a service request. If you know the exact part that is faulty in an OEM system, you can log a service call or contact Compucon directly to arrange replacement. Please have the following information available when calling:
  1. Customer Name System
  2. Part Serial Number and Cover IT System Warranty Sticker Number (for 3year Onsite Warranty Systems)
  3. Product Code & Description
  4. Invoice Number
  5. Fault description (Please note that "Faulty", "Broken", "Dead", "Not Working" etc. will not be sufficient!)

Before returning any product, please ensure:
  1. Product is returned with all original packaging, disks, manuals etc. (If it is not packaged correctly - a replacement will not be provided)
  2. Documentation for RMA that is provided by RMA staff when required
  3. A fault description is included along with any testing documentation or reports

Parts Warranty:
Please call Compucon to arrange an RA number before returning goods. You must adhere to the same details outlined in this document (1-5 & A-C) when calling. Any goods that are presented without sufficient paperwork will not be processed. If the product is less than 7 days old, an immediate replacement will be provided if available. Freight charges are the responsibility of the dealer. Any goods found not to be faulty as according to the fault description will attract a charge from $20 per item. (Troubleshooting is charged at $40 per hour) Goods will only be credited if found faulty within 14 days of invoice, otherwise a restocking fee from 15% will apply. (Higher for non-stocked / special order items). Upgrading faulty goods to newer goods can only be arranged with the Managing Director. Please do not consider this an option, it is for special cases only.

Compucon warranty parts as 1Yr Return To Base (unless stated otherwise) directly. Some manufacturer warranties are more than 1 Year. Within the first year – Compucon will pay for freight etc to get it replaced or fixed under warranty. If a claim under manufacturers warranty is made in the second or more years, Compucon will help by associating with overseas companies etc but will not pay for freight, labour or other associated costs outside of our 1Yr RTB warranty.

Warranty Exclusions:
Warranty does not apply to damage from accident, misuse, abuse or neglect, wear or tear, or if goods are tampered with, altered or repaired by unauthorised persons. Warranty also does not apply if product is operated above specification of manufacturer. Warranty is in addition to all other rights and remedies conferred by Status, to the extent that such cannot be excluded but warranty otherwise supersedes and excludes all representation, warranties and conditions expressed or implied. To the extent permitted by law our liability for statutory rights and remedies is limited to the cost of replacing the goods or of acquiring equivalent goods.

It is the DEALER'S RESPONSIBILITY to backup the data from the returned system and/or hard disk drive for warranty repairs and replacement.

Liability under the warranty shall in no event exceed the purchase price of the system. No liability expressed or implied in the contract of tort is accepted for any consequential loss caused by the failure of the equipment including hut not limited to the loss of data or program.
